8th dan JAA, conferred by Tomiki. First taught Tomiki Aikido by Professor Tomiki in 1959. Also holds 3rd Dan Kendo.
Uno Shihan first started Aikido at Waseda University and was graded 1st Dan by Professor Tomiki at the age of 20. He studied under him for approximately 20 years. During that time he also studied Kendo and attained 3rd Dan at the age of 33.
He is now the Vice President of the JAA and Principle teacher and founder member of JAAS, the Shikoku Hombu.
He is the first to publish a book about Tomiki Aikido in three languages: Japanese, English and Russian. The book also includes a CD of techniques.
He has many students world wide and in particular Russia and Georgia. In Imabari, Japan there are four branches and his students world wide total 1000.
